The IPMA has a major focus on making the status quo change, noting the need to evolve. We have to be absolutely and necessarily sustainable and innovative in the coming years. There is no room for society to wait for Governments so slowly. Making it happen is important.
It is not also about public or private. Often we perceive organizational mismatches with their portfolios. Being able and capable, in a structured way, is what IMPA proposes to implement in professionals with its methodology of competencies.
This model has been implemented in the world with several cases of success. Learning from good practices of success and failure is part of the model. It is enough to be open to this new vision, structured and proposed by IPMA.
Smart cities is an initial translation of this environment. There is a major project failure due to management problems. The problem is not exactly in the public or the private, but rather how we do it.
If we already know this common fault, how are we going to change that?
This new proposal sponsored IMPA and followed by AACE and RICS are quite commendable as it brings to the practitioner new insights into common practices. This is a new and future way to achieve greater success, without a doubt.
